The controversial acting variety show I Am An Actor 我就是演员 (previously Birth of a Performer) is back for a second season. Zhang Ziyi is the only remaining judge from the first season, and is joined by dependable uncle actors Wu Xiubo (The Advisors Alliance) and Xu Zheng (Dying to Survive). The variety show airs every Saturday night on Zhejiang TV beginning tomorrow.
This gorgeous promo features Zhang Ziyi looking back on her characters (Wu Xiubo, Xu Zheng):
I cried three times in the process of editing this review. This sweepingly beautiful but simple ode to Tsinghua University is a tear-jerker for all seasons.
Set against one of the most stunning visuals of the year, Forever Young 无问西东 tells its simple tales with an incredibly romantic lens that makes it difficult not to admire. Director Li Fangfang (Heaven Eternal, Love Everlasting) always manages to play my emotions just right to evoke all my emotions for the world she captures.
The film from centers around four loosely connected stories of six characters (played by Wang Leehom, Zhang Ziyi, ChangChen, Huang Xiaoming, Tie Zheng, and Chen Chusheng) facing their true selves through making difficult choices, from scary ones like life-and-death decisions to the even scarier decision of picking a college major. Reasons why Zhang Ziyi is still a queen. Also, #BestCinematography
My most anticipated film since forever, Forever Young 无问西东 has finally set a release date for January 14th! I really hope someone picks it for a NA release.
Starring Zhang Ziyi, Huang Xiaoming, Chang Chen, Wang Leehom, and Chen Chusheng, director Li Fangfang’s ode to Tsinghua University focuses on the coming-of-age of the school and the nation as depicted through five of its students through the year.
The movie’s had three trailers and all of them are extremely gorgeous, but I still have no idea what the plot is.
Zhang Ziyi is on the cover of Elle’s December issue, and also making headlines with her appearance as a snarky judge on acting variety showBirth of the Performer / Actor演员的诞生. The variety show isn’t very well-produced (it’s Zhejiang TV after all) but her thinly-veiled criticisms directed towards C-ent’s most popular stars are absolute gold.
Can you imagine how photogenic Jing Boran and Ni Ni’s babies would be.

Clothes identification from : Starstylefashion@Weibo , clothes from the Bazaar Weibo or the star’s own Weibo’s (this is fair because both are PS’ed anyways) .
