Season 3 of Divas Hit the Road 花儿与少年: 冒险季 features a new and younger cast in Jiang Shuying, Bolin Chen, Guli Nazha, Zhang Ruoyun, Tony Yang, Song Zu’er (as Nezha in Lotus Lantern 2005) and Lai Yumeng (new actress who made her debut in Go! Goal! Fighting!), with Jing Boran as the only returning cast member.

The Fated General prepares for filming

It’s nice that dramas aren’t limiting themselves to a palace backdrop these days.

The Fated General 大漠骠骑—霍去病 has started preparing for filming.  This dramas is set in the Western Han dynasty and follows the titular Huo Qubing during his rise from the circumstances of his birth to his famous conquests over the Xiongnu.  Starring Zhang RuoyunMao Xiaotong, and Bai Yu, anybody looking for a Han dynasty drama can give this a try.

 

 

Novoland: The Castle in the Sky aims for release

What is with every other fantasy production having young character with white hair now?!?… and CIRCLETS on their heads?!?

Novoland: The Castle in the Sky seems to be set for release on July 20th.  Starring Zhang Ruoyun, Guan Xiaotong,  Ju Jingyi, Liu Chang, Chen Ruoxuan, Zhang Luyi, and Liu Min, those that like the fantasy genre and more of the pastels can check this out.

Novoland: The Castle in the Sky shows off worlds

After seeing some of these images, I am interested in how they will be brought to life.

Novoland: The Castle in the Sky has released images and a teaser of its different worlds as well as a tentative release date on July 20th.  Starring Zhang Ruoyun, Guan Xiaotong,  Ju Jingyi, Liu Chang, Chen Ruoxuan, Zhang Luyi, and Liu Min, those who enjoyed the trailer can get a glimpse of the other places to see in this drama.

Sparrow releases heart-wrecking MV

Those trees and flowers in the background must be really resilient to the cold.

I can’t tell if Sparrow  is actually epic or if it’s just the BGM (last heard breaking my heart here). Still do not see a sliver of life in Li Yifeng’s eyes (he’s also the only one being dubbed),  but everyone else is beautiful even while crying, and I’m impressed by a couple of the shots.  Also, I can’t wait for  Kan Qingzi to get lead roles.
