Nothing Gold Can Stay has released stills of the OTP, played by Sun Li (Legend of Mi Yue) and Chen Xiao (Above the Clouds). The creative team deserve extra brownie points for collating the stills into a creative slide show presentation.
The success story about Qing Dynasty’s richest female merchant is titled Nothing Gold Can Stay 那年花开月正圆, and stars Sun Li as the main protagonist Zhou Ying. The female-centric story should be familiar territory for the actress, who was most recently a powerful Empress Dowager in Legend of Miyue.
Congratulations to the big winners of the night!
The Magnolia Awards is held in conjunction with the Shanghai Television Festival, home to one of East Asia’s biggest television markets. Magnolia Awards is recognised as one of the most prestigious television awards alongside the Golden Eagle and Flying Apsaras, though it cannot seem to make up its mind on the number of categories (the current format began last year).
Full list of nominees, winners and red carpet pictures are below the cut.
Sun Li looks like she stepped out of a French painting in this gorgeously stunning photo shoot for L’Officiel. I never knew that a backdrop of fish could make Sun Li look like she was flying. Look under the cut for more pictures. Continue reading
Have you ever seen anyone as stylish as Sun Li when you visited the supermarket? She’s adorable in this new shoot for Grazia, buying and trying out different breads. Look below the cut for more pictures. Continue reading
Mirror, mirror, on the wall, which (or who) is the cutest of them all? Sun Li cuddles with a different dog (or a different set of dogs) in each of these adorable photos for Modern Lady.
P.S. jjss08 is not that great at identifying dog species, so whoever can identify the dog types in the comments will be the real MVP. Continue reading
Sun Li returns, with more clothes that beautifully blend into the background (I love the dress above the cut, though the dress with handdrawn pictures would be harder for most people to pull off in public). Look below the cut to see more pictures. Continue reading
