Wang Kai, Joe Chen, Joe Cheng, Bosco Wong hit the runway for new fashion drama

catchme

If we  replace Joe Cheng with someone from Macau, we would get a happy Greater China family.

  1. Joe Chen and Joe Cheng are finally collaborating! Cfensi gold stars for every time you catch us mixing their names.
  2. Leave Me, Catch Me 放弃我抓紧我 features Joe Chen as a fashion designer who all of a sudden lost her memories after the age of 23, is now engaged  a man who she doesn’t know, and competitors with the man who she thought was her boyfriend.  Can she rebuild her life and find her lost dreams?  The male cast includes Wang Kai, Bosco Wong, and Joe Cheng.
  3. Filming begins next month in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Milan, and Paris.  OMG Wang Kai in Paris in those gorgeous winter coats!  I’m going to be thinking about Ming Cheng’s college days during all those scenes.  Can we please have a scene where the girl leaves him so he runs out and then kneels in the snow while wearing only a white shirt?  I’m probably expecting too much …
  4. The drama has already been picked up by Sohu, so we won’t have to worry about death-in-the-storage-room .  The drama is produced by Tonghua (BuBuJingxin, Cloud Song, Desert Melody) of Dream Stardom  (Perfect Couple, Destined to Love You )   Continue reading

Which one of those is not a noun?

Real Hero 真心英雄,’ China’s newest variety show to air July 10th, is a spin-off off of South Korea’s ‘Infinite Challenge’ and ‘X-Man’, where a team of celebrities are given strenuous physical and mental challenges to complete in a short amount of time. Watching the trailer, it seems that the challenges include diving through a pool of plastic balls, parachuting into the sky, a giant tug of war, hamster ball fighting, wrestling, and lots of good ‘ol variety show style drama.

This season’s team features Chen Xuedong, Joe Cheng,  Zhang Jie, Zhu Yawen, Tong Dawei, and Yang Kun,  with Guo Jingming as a guest star in ep 1. The theme of this show, according to the show creators at Jiangsu TV,  is to show the audience what it takes to be a real hero, and how we can be them in our everyday lives.

Take a look at the trailer for the show:

Tsui Hark and Zhang Yuqi attend Joe Cheng’s Play

765bdfbfb00e9e1719d81fd4

I apologize up front for calling Design for Living Joe Cheng’s play, but he is probably the draw for a lot of people, and probably the person most people know, at least for those who come to this site. For the famous people in attendance however, the big draw was mostly Sylvia Chang, a veteran director in Taiwan. The director and one of the lead actresses of “Not All Women are Bad” were spotted attending the play Design for Living in Beijing. Taiwanese music mogul Jonathan Lee (Fusion’s management), and Chinese sixth generation director Tian Zhuangzhuang were also in attendance.
