Sword Master 三少爷的剑 is aiming to get released on December 1st. Directed by Derek Yee and produced by Tsui Hark, this production stars Lin Gengxin, Peter Ho, Jiang Yiyan, Jiang Mengjie, and Jiang Yiyan and marks something I wish we would see more of: a wuxia movie.
Sword Master 三少爷的剑 has more posters. Directed by Derek Yee and produced by Tsui Hark, this production stars Lin Gengxin, Peter Ho, Jiang Yiyan, Jiang Mengjie, and Jiang Yiyan and seems to still be working out a new release date or something so the ones in the posters may not be correct…

The Third Master’s Sword 三少爷的剑 (I am sure they will have a better English title sometime soon) has released a teaser, marking Tsui Hark‘s return to the wuxia genre. Starring Lin Gengxin, Peter Ho, Jiang Yiyan, Jiang Mengjie, and Ren Qingan, this seems to be based on the novel by Gu Long.
The Four 3, the final installment to the film series, has released a trailer as well as announced its release date on August 22. Starring Deng Chao (Cold Blooded), Liu Yifei Heartless), Collin Chou (the hot-blooded “Iron Hand”), Ronald Cheng (whose role Life Snatcher was previously held by “hotties” like Wallace Chung and Peter Ho), Anthony Wong, Jiang Yiyan, Alec Su, Wu Yingjie and Bao Bei’er, this film picks up from the abrupt and tragic end of the previous. Presumably, it will bring to a close all the untied ends from the last two films with flurry of CGI.

While we wait on the upcoming drama version of “The Four,” the film version has already released their second installment, The Four 2 starring Deng Chao, Liu Yifei, Jiang Yiyan, Wu Xiubo and Liu Yan. Following director Gordon Chan‘s previous Painted Skin/Mural series, the second promises to up the previous film in special effects and in detachment from reality. The film was released on December 6, continuing from where the first left off.
Listen to the theme by Hu Xia below, and see fire-and-ice themed characters posters below the cut.
Deng Chao, Liu Yifei, Jiang Yiyan and Liu Yan leaves their wuxia world and dons gorgeousness for fashion posters of their upcoming film, Gordon Chan‘s The Four 2 四大名捕2, airing on November 22nd.
Pretty, pretty, pretty – let the extravaganza of pictures in this post make up for its tardiness. This week’s shoot includes Xu Jinglei in floral for Femina, Zhang Yuqi dazzling with silver jewelry, Jiang Yiyan delicate with pretty dresses, Jing Tian in white against azure, and Sun Li gorgeous with red lips and tomboy black-and-white. Yang Mi is cute with a short bob and cute clothes; Fan Bingbing also sports a bob (and an afro). Maggie Cheung is decked out in neon pinks and oranges, (so is Gao Yuanyuan; who do you think pulls off that style better?) and Yang Mi appears again, glamorous with wavy hair for Cosmopolitan. He Dujuan is delicate and girlish for Cosmopolitan, while Ni Ni pulls off a sultrier look. Continue reading
