Yi Yangqianxi, Show Luo, Han Geng and Huang Zitao’s Street Dance of China 这就是街舞 will have a few weeks’ head start, as the first episode is scheduled to premiere on Youku tonight.
Set in 1930s Shanghai, The Wasted Times 罗曼蒂克消亡史 stars Ge You (Gone with the Bullets) as Mr. Lu, a powerful and murderous gangster who embarks on quest for revenge after his wife and children are killed by Japanese officials.
N.B.: Some of the dialogue is spoken in the Shanghai dialect.
Fan Bingbing is a flower fairy, again. She and Han Geng (the other star of this photoshoot for L’Officiel) recently starred together in the movie “Ever Since We Love 万物生长,” where Han Geng plays a man who is recently admitted into medical school, and Fan Bingbing plays a charming women who oversees the medical equipment. It’s supposed to tell a story of youth (although, if you’re going to medical school in the US, one would imagine that the story should be the opposite). Look under the cut for more pictures from their photoshoot! Continue reading

Harper’s Bazaar teams up with Kindle to remind you to read because all the cool kids do it. Cool kids include Li Bingbing, Han Geng, Su Mang, Huang Xiaoming, Gao Yuanyuan, Liu Yifei, Deng Chao, Ni Ni, Feng Shaofeng, Bao Lei, and Lu Yi.
I know, I know, we’ve been behind on music, but real life is full of White Pears 鸭梨 (Pressure). To make it up, here are some new releases from boybands(Top Combine, M.I.C., Uniq), girlbands(Seven Sense), normal bands (Mayday), and ex-band members (Han Geng, JL’s Jason, RTA’s Liu Junling, and Da Zhang Wei).
After almost a year without any new music releases, Han Geng is finally back with a summer single X-Man. Despite his lack of new music releases, Han Geng’s been very busy this year. He starred in Zhao Wei‘s directorial debut film So Young and grabbed a bunch of music awards for his single Clown Mask. Now it looks like he’ll be joining Li Bingbing on Transformers 4.
He’s one of Asia’s top stars in the worlds of music, television and movies and has become one of the most influential entertainers in China. Now he’ll also be known for Transformers 4. Welcome Han Geng to the cast of Transformers 4. – Michael Bay
Han Geng’s role in the film has yet to be announced – whether he’s been given a Fan Bingbing-esque role is yet to be known. On a positive note, his new Huayi rom-com Former Raiders (前任攻略) has finally began filming.
I know the title is misleading, but I couldn’t help it. Continue reading
I need to publish this post before we end up with more girls than boys again, and I need to think of a new caption. Note: These photos were often black and white selections from shoots with a wider variety of color. Take a look!
Yao Chen takes the cover of this round-up, embodying the elegance that oozes out of old black and white photographs. Jing Boran peaks out from behind bars, and Yu Haoming reposes like an old world count. Han Geng‘s expression is Gothic and gloomy. Zhang Ziyi looks like she could be in a shampoo commercial in her two shoots, and Hu Jun – like all the men in these shoots, actually – suits up for his set. Continue reading
Celebrities flocked to Weibo this week in order to call followers’ attention to the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that hit Ya’an on April 20th. Whether it was sharing ways to help, urging fans to donate their money or time, or simply posting words of comfort, a bunch of stars made noteworthy Weibo posts. We unfortunately can’t reproduce all of them, but hopefully we’ve gotten some of the more memorable ones.
Please keep the people of Ya’an in your thoughts!
Not sure who first came up with the idea for this photo, but He Jiong posted it on his Weibo, along with a message of support:
I just saw this picture, and want to share it with everyone. Let’s jiayou for the beautiful Sichuan!
Faye Wong sings the theme for “So Young,” Zhao Wei‘s directorial debut and masters thesis featuring Mark Zhao, Han Geng, Yang Zishan, Tong Liya, Zheng Kai etc.
