Flame’s Daughter males star in modern wuxia shoot

Where is this cyberpunk wuxia film that I’m totally ready for?

Vic Zhou, Zhang Binbin and Liu Ruilin of Flame’s Daughter team up separately pose for a modern wuxia photoshoot.

Harper’s Bazaar is really pounding the revamped wuxia concept recently, having done at least three other shoots in the past six months. After these and Liu Yifei’s shoot, I am even more ready than ever for a cyberpunk wuxia film (no, Jared Leto being creepy shifu in a world with fembots in cheongsam  does not count).

Figure Skaters Sui Wenjing, Han Cong photoshoots

Sui Wenjing and Han Cong are more photogenic than 90 % of actors.

It’s Olympics season, so expect lots of athlete-entertainment crossovers other than dating (cough, Jing Tian and Zhang Jike, cough).  First up are two of China’s favorites to place,  pairs figure skaters Sui Wenjing and Han Cong, in a series of  photoshoots.    The two not only are better actors than many actors, but also rules in photoshoots. In other news, Hu Ge still hasn’t locked down his new project, while Zhou Xun and Chen Kun (who now co-own a talent management company) have been busy establishing an acting academy with director-producer Chen Kuo-fu (The Message).
