Upper class lady. This is an interesting quju I haven’t seen before with the way it opens up in the back and the way the bottom opens out.  I guess it is possible that there were different styles worn back in the day.

This week, take a look at clothing from the Han dynasty from Hu Jingming‘s (琥璟明) weibo.  Those looking forward to the broadcast of Realm of Love: Long Ballad on July 21st can get a taste of the clothing style that persisted for the Western Han Dynasty and into the Eastern Han Dynasty through this post.

More pictures below the cut.

Hanfu groups seem to work together so I apologize ahead of time in case there are any repeats.  Also, please understand that sorting Hanfu by era can be hard due to similar styles carrying over into different eras, lack of historical evidence or knowledge, and various other factors.

The following are some links that may help you get some background information.  Please let us know in the comment section if there are any other sites you may be able to recommend for more pictures.

Upper class woman. Zhiju, which seems to have been less popular during the Han dynasty.

Soldier and wife. Notice how much thinner the clothing is compared to the upper class woman’s.
