  2. Hello, I really love this series you’re doing. Will you be showing styles from other dynasties other than Ming/Qing? For example the Sui-Tang-Song periods? The reason I ask is because the ruqun is the predominant dress in these periods and it’s my favourite type of hanfu. Also, I find alot of hanfu posts on both Chinese and English internet are disproportionately female, if it’s not too much trouble would you mind showing some male clothing as well?

    • We already covered the Tang dynasty and Song dynasty a couple months back. We are just trying to make our way through the timeline once so everybody can get a good grasp on how Chinese clothing evolved. We may do a loop-de-loop back go cover periods before the Tang dynasty later and then we will start jumping around in the timeline. If you type “Sinology Sunday” into the search bar, you should be able to find those older posts.

      There does seem to be a disproportionate amount of focus on female clothing. Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate as many photos of male clothing but we will do what we can.
