Laure Shang raps her way to third place on I Am A Singer

Former Super Girl champion Laure Shang returns to the reality television stage as a contestant on Hunan TV’s I Am A Singer 我是歌手. The Chinese adaption of MBC’s I Am A Singer 나는 가수다 pits seven veteran professional singers against one another to survive seven weeks of elimination.

In this week’s episode, Laure Shang 尚雯婕 performed the Black Eyed Peas’ Let’s Get It Started, netting her third place for the week.

This week’s winner, the relatively obscure Huang Qishan 黄绮珊, also sang in English with a jazzed-up version of I Will Always Love You before reverting to Whitney’s R&B classic to belt out the chorus.

The other remaining contestants include musical duo Yu Quan 羽·泉, Sha Biaoliang 沙宝亮, Chen Ming 陈明, and Taiwanese singers Aska Yang 楊宗緯 and Chyi Chin 齊秦. Aska was brought in to replace Paul Wong 黄贯中 who was eliminated in last week’s episode.
