Even National Geographic has to use a few tricks to break into the Chinese market (maybe because Chinese National Geography has so much better pictures?). The Chinese version has launched a new section featuring celebrity photography of places around the world. Actor Hu Ge (Chinese Paladin, Legend of Condor Heroes, Young Warriors of the Yang Clan), beingĀ one of the best celeb photographers around, was invited to showcase his photos during his trip to Egypt earlier this year. Other than cute pictures of his best buds, a sample of Hu Ge’s photography since going to Egypt (aka his photography this year): (more…)
Three years ago, a car crash left Hu Ge hospitalized for about half a year. In that same car crash, a colleague of the Shanghai Tangren company – Zhang Mian – died. Upon recovery, Hu Ge published a book about the accident. He took the money earned from the book and used it to build a hope school. The school recently opened and was named after Zhang Mian.
From Hu Ge’s blog, last week. All HQ photos by Hu Ge:
Today is your birthday, we all remembered.
I was organizing pictures of the children at home. Their smiling faces made me forget all unhappinesses.
Today, should’ve always been a happy day.
Once a video game character, always a video game character. After Chinese Paladin 3, Hu Ge, Yuan Hong, Liu Shishi and Tang Yan meet again for another online game, this time as the spokespeople for the latest spinoff version of one of the biggest Chinese online games – Zhu Xian/Jade Dynasty. Separated from her two true loves, Yang Mi is instead the cover girl for a new online game called Tian Xia.
Argh I waited too long to post this…massive pileup of news. This was such a headache to all get in here.
BOBO was kept busy recently with the release of their show, NONSTOP, and celebrated their two year anniversary with the release of a new photo diary that I’ve already added to my list of goodies to buy. They also wrote loving speeches to each other.
Looks like a scene in the Twelfth Night? It's even better.
When they first debuted, weI wanted to pair up B2F2 with the girls of our Yi group (Zhang Liyin and He Jie) since 70 was also Yi, but Zhang Yunjing and 70 won us over with their awesomeness. This is a very non-serious, non-informative spaz article that we needed to do, because summer’s just started and we’re all tired, so stop reading now if you feel like you’re the true prince(ss) of either Zhang Yunjing or 70. Or if you’re for something more strange, view this with caution.
Disclaimer: The following portrayals are highly biased in favor of a ZYJ-70 pairing
The producers behind the series based on the third installment of the Chinese Paladin RPG series have announced what’s to be expected on the soundtrack of the game, and packaging details for the “Gold Edition DVD”, which is going to be one of the best DVD sets ever. Seriously. Also released was the ending theme, sung by Hu Ge. I am now 10 x more excited for this series than I was before.
Earlier it was mentioned that these four were in Egypt vacationing. They are all in the upcoming Chinese Paladin 3, and three (all except Yang Mi) were in Legend of the Condor Heroes, and the same three were in Young Warriors of the Yang Clan. During the course of the filming for CP3, the two Beijingers Yang Mi and Liu Shishi became BFFs, and Hu Ge and Yuan Hong have been good friends for a long time. So the idea of them vacationing together was really cute. Yang Mi should switch companies and join that of the other three’s so they can vacation together more and so their company can pay for their double wedding.
Note: This was written a while ago, on 12/23 when it was filmed, but it was actually aired during New Years. I would have posted this earlier, except I really, really wanted to find a HQ video of Wang Yuexin singing Guang. Which I did end up finding, but haven’t finished downloading.
With a dolphin pitch, Wang Yuexin’s “Guang” opened the first annual Newcomer’s Feng Yun Bang (Wind and Cloud Awards). In attendance are all of the new boybands as well as most of the new idol singers. Feng Yun awards have been established since 2001, but this is the first ceremony specifically designed for newcomers, signifying that newcomers to the Chinese music scene are coming in large numbers.
Wang Yuexin singing Guang. I practically made this post just for him, so you’d better watch the vid.
Jackie Chan giving his bodyplate that he wore in the Myth to Hu Ge
Even the confidant Hu Ge had his knees shaking in front of Jackie Chan.
“As a younger artist, I’m far from Jackie Chan. Earlier, when I saw Jackie Chan, I was so nervous that my knees were shaking. But I will try my hardest to follow his lead,” Hu Ge said today.
The executive producer of the drama version of “The Myth,” Jackie Chan just announced his pick of the male lead -Hu Ge.
